- Closes the stream of water to the shower valve closing the access panel in the wall behind the shower faucet or closing the main valve in the house. Turn the shower faucet to drain any water that is in the pipes and then close it again.

5. Slide the new cartridge into the pipe, aligning the tabs on the cartridge with the notches in the pipe. Replace tap elsewhere in the order in which you removed and then reopen the delta shower faucet water.
